Meet Dr. Carey Vaughan, D.O.
Dr. Carey Vaughan is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy. She has completed the courses for the certification program in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine and has completed a mini fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. Additionally, she has been practicing Craniosacral and Myofascial Release Therapy for over 30 years. Her education before attending medical school includes degrees in psychology and chemistry, practice as a biofeedback therapist, and years of study and practice of alternative healing therapies, including clinical kinesiology, aromatherapy, homeopathy, flower essences, various energy healing modalities, and nutritional therapies.
Dr. Vaughan's Goal
Dr. Vaughan’s goal is to promote Functional Medicine as a model for a sustainable and affordable alternative to the current “pill for an ill” disease-care model of conventional medicine, which is extremely limited in its capacity to bring about true healing and optimal wellness. Her passion as a Functional Medicine practitioner is to assist patients in actualizing their highest wellness potential, using this systems biology approach, and having access to multiple modalities of healing treatments and lifestyle medicine.
